Congratulations on starting your journey to become a doctor! Remember that moment you decided on medicine? It wasn’t about fame or fortune – it was about helping people and making a difference. Hold onto that passion!
Sure, medical school is about studying and exams, but it’s bigger than that. You’re learning to take care of people, and that takes dedication, kindness, and a willingness to listen.
The world of medicine is changing fast, especially with things like COVID-19. Be ready to learn new ways to help, and remember the lessons of teamwork and caring for everyone’s health.
Your teachers are here for you too. They might seem tough sometimes, but they care about your success. They’ve been doctors and they want to guide you on the right path.
Medical school has its ups and downs, but never lose sight of why you started. Your patients are counting on you, and it’s an honor to care for them. Keep your passion strong, and your teachers will be here cheering you on every step of the way.
Regards,
Dr. Swati Bansal (Your Physiology Teacher)
P.S.- I understand that many of you are teenagers and may feel the urge to rebel and go against the norm. However, as future professionals in the medical field, it is crucial to grasp the importance of discipline and take advantage of this stage in your lives. I want to make sure that you don’t regret not having proper guidance or recognizing the significance of this time. While some may expect you to possess the wisdom of an adult already, I believe the transition from high school to college is a crucial period for growth and learning. I believe this is the most critical time when one has the power to shape their future for better or for worse. I will continue to offer guidance and discipline, even if it may seem like I am treating you like children, to prevent you from making decisions that could harm your future as aspiring medical professionals. I will be there to support and mentor you until you finish your first year of medical school, and beyond if necessary.
